Saturday, September 8, 2007 5:25PM - Just got back from Ribbon Falls - one of the most spectactular things I've ever seen. The water falls from on high and crashes onto a hollowed-out rock with all sorts of vivid colors on its exterior. The water is freezing, which is welcome after hiking another 1.6 miles in 100+ degree heat. I arrived and had the whole place to myself for as long as I wanted - there aren't a whole heck of a lot of people down here.
I have hiked a total of 10.0 miles exactly of rough Grand Canyon today, and am exhausted. I am yet again nervous for tomorrow, as getting down here was the "easy" part...

Awesome pictures & for sure the real thing is several times better. The water falls and the river flows are just so freaking amazing to watch..looking forward to seeing what else you happen to see the days and nights ahead. Have a blast !!
absolutely amazing pictures... when i visited the grand canyon, i was on a time constraint. i couldn't see what i wanted to and spent so little time there. the only comfort i had was knowing that one day, i'd be back. thank you for sharing these pictures. they make me want to go back NOW.
Fantastic falls images.
Wish you wouldn't use such harsh language.
